Negotino, 14th February 2014 (MIA) – Last year was a good one for vine growers, and it is expected for they to be satisfied this year as well. Subsidies were fully paid for 2013 and the Government’s support for vine growers and agriculture continues in future as well.

This was pointed out by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski on Friday before the vine growers in Negotino, where at the occasion of St. Trifun Holiday, he attended the grapevine pruning.

Deputy Prime Minister stressed that in 2013, Denar 386 million was paid to 12,615 vine growers, Denar 105 million out of which was intended for the vine growers in Negotino.

– This shows that the Government takes care of the vine growers, Stavreski said, adding that there will be always Budget funds for farmers.

He also added that the subsidies are not the only care of the Government and the local authorities, but that they also take care of the other segments of life of all citizens, in which results have also been yielded.

He mentioned once again the effects from the German investment, i.e. the factory “Dräxlmaier” in Kavadarci, in which 900 persons from Negotino are employed, which, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, shows the commitment of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia to launching new investments, opening factories and allocating subsidies.

– We will continue to both take care of all citizens of the country and improve all aspects of their life, Stavreski stressed.
