5th June 2017, Skopje – Minister of Finance, Dragan Tevdovski, Ph.D., met World Bank representatives today, led by the Country Manager for Macedonia and Kosovo in the Europe and Central Asia Region – Marco Mantovanelli.
Partnership of the Republic of Macedonia with the World Bank was affirmed at the meeting, discussing the on-going project, as well as possibilities for future cooperation.
Starting 1993, World Bank has been present in the Republic of Macedonia by providing technical assistance and financing 63 projects in the amount of more than US$ 2 billion. At the moment, the World Bank is participating in funding seven projects, being in the implementation stage, in the amount of US$ 331 million.
Cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the World Bank covers many areas, such as: transport infrastructure, municipal services, energy, social policy, education, innovations, information technology, as well as tourism.
