Skopje, 9th May 2013 (MIA) – Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski will take part, today and tomorrow, in the 22nd EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum, to take place in Istanbul, Turkey.

 

Overall theme of this year’s Business Forum is “Innovating for Growth” and it covers the adjustment of supply on the markets to the turbulent economic conditions and building greater competitiveness among the economies.

 

Within EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum, Vice Prime Minister Stavreski, as announced by the Ministry of Finance, will meet EBRD First Vice President Philip Bennett, EBRD Western Balkans Director Claudio Viezzoli, EBRD Director for Transport Sue Barrett, as well as Massa Bernucci, EIB Director – Adriatic Sea Department. In addition, Stavreski will also participate as speaker at the discussion panel “Supporting growth Amidst Austerity”.

 

Opening speech at 2013 EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum will be given by Turkey’s Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan. Hundreds of statesmen and prominent businessmen from throughout the world will participate in this event.

 

Macedonia cooperates with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on many key capital projects, such as financing the construction of Corridor 10 highway – Demir Kapija – Smokvica, project for construction of part of Corridor 10 railroad tracks, regional and municipal roads program, construction of HPP Boskov Most, etc. In addition, it is envisaged for EBRD to participate in the financing of the construction of gas pipeline network in the Republic of Macedonia, construction of railroad tracks on Corridor 8, project for 400 kV interconnection of Macedonia with Albania – Bitola – Elbasan, etc.
