Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski will take part in the Regional Policy Forum on “Growth Strategies after the Crisis”, being held in Ljubljana, Slovenia organised by the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF).
 
Forum will be focused on strategies aimed at strengthening the economic growth in SEE countries, as well as completing the transition process so as to overcome the effects of the economic and financial crisis.
 
The Forum will be attended by eminent representatives in the field of finance such as Thomas Mirow, President of EBRD, Philippe Le Houérou, Vice President of the World Bank, as well as Anton Rop, Vice President of the European Investment Bank.
 
As regards the future cooperation between Macedonia and CEF, as stated in the press release of the Ministry of Finance, CEF will organise several trainings in 2011 aimed at improving the state administration operations. Thus, it is worth mentioning the Capacity Building in Public Accounting Project, by which the CEF will significantly contribute to establishing independent training center for public sector accountants, as well as institutionalising the profession certified accountant in Macedonia.
 
Vice Prime Minister, in addition to the Forum, will take part in the Annual Supervisory Board Meeting, where CEF Annual Report should be adopted and 2012-2013 CEF Work Plan should be approved.(MIA)
