Washington, 22nd April (MIA) – Macedonian delegation headed by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski will take part in the Spring Meetings of the World Bank (WB) and the International Monetary Fund(IMF) in Washington.

As MIA reporter said, Stavreski is supposed to meet WB Vice President for Europe and Central Asia region Philippe Le Houérou, Country Director and Regional Coordinator for Southwest Europe Jane Armitage, WB Netherlands Constituency Executive Director Rudolf Jan Treffers, as well as High IMF officials Marek Belka, Wes McGrew and Age Bakker. Talks will be focused on the current and future cooperation of Macedonia with both institutions.

 

During the Spring Meetings, prizes are to be awarded to the ten countries – top reformers, according to “Doing Business” Report, among which Macedonia is ranked third. Meetings, organized every spring by the World Bank and the IMF are attended by Ministries of Finance and Governors of Central Banks from all countries, members of these two international financial institutions. Most recent global economic developments are elaborated and discussed during the event.(MIA)
