21st October 2023, Skopje – Ministry of Finance issued the second development bond for citizens with 5% interest rate annually, and the citizens can already invest therein by submitting application for participation at the auction, as announced by Minister of Finance, Fatmir Besimi, in his guest appearance in “Tema na Denot” Show on Sitel TV Channel.
“This instrument provides the citizens with the opportunity to keep the value of their money, particular amid high inflation, being part of the policies the Government takes so as to manage the price crisis. Citizens demonstrated considerable interest therein. As regards the first issue, the amounted offered under the published Prospectus was EUR 10 million, with EUR 23 million as the issued amount by 1300 citizens. Citizens are now showing greater interest since they are already aware of the benefits this financial instrument offers. This additionally provided for increasing the interests on the deposits with the banks, being beneficial for the business sector as well,” – Minister of Finance, Fatmir Besimi pointed out.
Prospectus for the second issue of development bond for citizens was published on 18th October, whereby the citizens may, via the commercial banks, submit applications for participating at the auction, which will be held on 7th November.
