8th November 2024, Skopje – Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska conveyed a message from Brussels, pertaining to the Government; s strong commitment to implementing the reforms under the Reform Agenda, being the genuine road map towards getting our country closer to the EU membership, as well as raising the citizens’ living standard.
“Government’s focus on carrying out the required reforms, all to the end of attaining intensified economic growth, is of key importance. In addition to the Reform Agenda, being jointly determined with the EC, the 2024-2028 Operational Programme also incorporates plenty of activities, which will bring about changes for better tomorrow. One of the most significant documents, reflecting the policies, which are to be created – the 2025 Budget has been prepared, undergoing parliamentary procedure. We will, among the other things, be dedicated on making investments in support of economic growth, coupled by the fight against crime and corruption as another unquestionable priority”, Minister of Finance pointed out at the meetings with representatives of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission.
She went on that much work remains to be done as regards the reform implementation, thereby expressing her gratitude to the EU for the support it extends to our country. Progress in implementing the reforms, as well as strengthening the public administration capacities, which creates an opportunity for both easier access to the resources under the EU Funds and scaled-up investments, was also highlighted during the meeting.
In Brussels, Minister took part at the Conference, organized by the “Friend of Europe” think-thank, while also meeting representatives of the European People’s Party.
