13th November 2024, Skopje – Free access for journalists to Central Registry data, pertaining to the Registry of Annual Accounts, the Trade Registry and the Registry of Other Legal Entities was made possible with the modifications and amendments to the Law on Central Registry, as adopted by the Parliament.

As it was elaborated, these amendments are aimed at supporting and encouraging the journalism research.

As per the adopted proposal, the Law on Central Registry has been harmonized with the Law on Modifications and Amendments to the Law on Organization and Operations of State Administration Bodies.

Central Registry constitutes a central database, whereby the data entered therein is electronically processed, unified, selected, stored and made available to all interested users.

In fact, the Law on Central Registry governs the establishment, the organizational setup and the scope of work of the Central Registry, along with its relations with the other main registries and their users, the relations with other legal entities, as well as the entry, processing, storage and distribution of the relevant data from the Central Registry to the concerned users thereof.
