18th December 2024, Skopje – Budget revenues are collected as per the set regulations, with the increase resulting from the measures aimed at combating corruption and crime, i.e. informal economy, Minister of Finance, Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska said, answering MP’s question at today’s parliamentary session.
“Budget revenues are collected as prescribed by the legal regulations, determining the manner of collecting taxes from the taxpayers, paying in contributions, as well as allocating the revenues collected. The recorded increase is the result of our transparent fight against the informal economy”, Minister of Finance stressed.
According to her, in line with the legal regulations, actions are being taken on both the revenue and expenditure side, and measures are being implemented to safeguard the budget funds. Hungarian Loan Facility is also aimed thereto, by which EUR 70,000 has been paid as fee for the first Loan Facility, whereby EUR 50,000 is to be paid for the second one, as opposed to the previous fees, which exceeded EUR 1 million. She also stressed the budget deficit reduction, as well as the ongoing actions aimed at fiscal consolidation.
She stated that, as regards the budgeted capital expenditures, Budget Execution Report will incorporate their actual execution. As regards implementation of local infrastructure projects, execution of capital expenditures therefor will be also transparently announced by the end of the year.
“Funds in the amount of Denar 10 billion were projected under the Supplementary Budget to meet the requirements for publishing a call, i.e. since publishing a call for project implementation requires funds to be projected in the Budget therefor. Thus, Denar 10 billion was projected, the call was published, and by the end of the year, some of the projects will be completed, with payments being expected therefor,” Dimitrieska-Kochoska stressed, thereby adding that EUR 250 million has been projected for municipal projects next year.
She went on that actions are being taken to determine the reasons behind the unsatisfactory implementation of capital investments, and that plenty of cases are being handled by the relevant institutions with respect to certain projects.
Minister emphasized that the legal regulations need to be observed, thereby highlighting that a high capital expenditure execution is anticipated in 2025.”
