Agreements for construction of two multi-storey car parks in the central area of the capital city were signed. Multi-storey car park near “Sudska Palata, the investor of which is Centar Municipality, will be constructed in two years, while the other one is multi-storey car park with a baroque style façade near MEPSO building, to be constructed by the Public Enterprise for Business and Housing Premises.

One of the agreements were signed today between Centar Municipality and NLB Tutunska banka, while the other one between Public Enterprise for Business and Housing Premises and Stopanska Banka and Komercijalna Banka. Both agreements were signed at the Ministry of Finance, being intermediary in reaching agreement between both parties.

– Signing the agreements is a sign that the domestic banking system remains active in supporting the economic development of Macedonia, in particular the local economic development in this case, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski said during the signing.

He emphasized that it is a matter of professional projects, and resolving the issue of improving the quality of life of citizens, adding that good agreement and good project can lead to obtaining funds from the banks.

Multi-storey car park near “Sudska Palata”, as the Mayor of Centar Municipality Vladimir Todorovic said, will include 500 parking spaces, and it should also unburden the traffic jam occurring in this part of the city. Projects is in the amount of EUR 5 million, EUR 2.5 million out of which is credit from NLB Tutunska banka, while the remaining part is expected to be financed from the sale of business premises.

Multi-storey car park near MEPSO, as Director of Public Enterprise for Business and Housing Premises Vladimir Bahcovanski said, will be 29 meters high, with 350 parking spaces and administrative space covering an area of 1,300 square meters. The construction is expected to start in the middle of March next year.
Conditions, under which the credit from NLB Tutunska Banka was granted is 10-year repayment period with Eurolibor plus 5.1%.

Director of NLB Tutunska Banka Ljube Raevski said that this a second agreement the bank signs with the local self-government, encouraging the other municipalities as well, if they present interesting projects.

As he said they remain open for cooperation with the local authorities.

Stopanska banka CEO Gligor Bisev pointed out that this is one of the projects, they approved, local authorities having submitted several projects to the Bank, which are to be considered.

Multi-storey car park near MEPSO is estimated at EUR 6 million, 30 percents out of which is financed by the Public Enterprise for Business and Housing Premises, while 70% are in form of credits from Stopanska and Komercijalna banka.(MIA)
