6th December 2019, Skopje – VAT refund, in the amount of around EUR 3 million, on the basis of scanned fiscal receipts has commenced today and will continue in the coming days, until VAT is refunded to all citizens having exercised their right to refund in the first quarter, Minister of Finance, Nina Angelovska, said at the press conference.
As Angelovska underlined, all orders from the PRO on VAT refunds have been paid today, around Denar 21 million will be transferred to the personal accounts of 16,600 citizens.
-I would like to appeal to the citizens to check the transaction accounts they have provided for VAT refund, since this activity will continues in the days to follow. More than 18,000 citizens scan fiscal receipts each month. During the past 5 months, more than 40 million fiscal receipts, i.e. around 8 million receipts monthly, were scanned, Angelovska said.
She pointed out that average age of the persons scanning fiscal receipts is 42-44 years of age. Receipts were most scanned in the municipalities of Aerodrom, Kisela Voda, Centar and Karpos, as well as in the cities of Bitola and Stip.
Angelovska announced that starting 15th December, MyVAT #MyPrize commences, one more incentive for the citizens to scan the fiscal receipts, thus contributing to the fight against grey economy.
