Skopje, 30th December 2012 (MIA) – Ministry of Finance extended the deadline for subsidy for housing credit through the Project “Buy a House Buy a Flat" by 31st May 2013
Next year, Ministry of Finance will announce four public calls, thus citizens may apply for the Project starting January as of 31st May 2013 inclusive. They can apply for one out of the two models – “50/50 installment” model or “equal participation” model, today’s press release of the Ministry of Finance states.
As for the“50/50 installment” model, Government will pay half of the monthly installment (principal and interest) in the first 5 years of the credit repayment. Interest on housing credit is subsidized, amounting to 4.99% for the first three years and 5.5% for the fourth and fifth year of the repayment.
As regards the “equal participation” model, Government will pay 50% of the participation for credit for purchasing a flat or for building a house or up to EUR 6,250 at the most for credit in the amount of EUR 50,000. Interest on housing credit is subsidized, amounting to EURIBOR + 4.5 percentage points during the whole repayment period.
Last year, Government, through the Project "Buy a Flat, Buy a House", subsidized housing credits in the amount of EUR 3.5 million.
First, deadline for applying for housing credit, through the Government Project “Buy a House, Buy a Credit” was 31st December.
