20th April 2018, Washington – Delegation headed by Minister of Finance Dragan Tevdovski and Governor of the National Bank Dimitar Bogov, take part in the regular WB and IMF Springs Meetings in Washington, starting today.
It is envisaged for the delegation to meet top officials from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the European Investment Bank, the European Central Bank and the International Financial Corporation (IFC). Meetings are also scheduled with the Vice President of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Miller, the Country Director of the World Bank for Southeast Europe, Europe and Central Asia Region Linda Van Gelder, the Executive Director at the Board of the World Bank Group Frank Heemskerk, the Director of the International Monetary Fund’s European Department Poul Thomsen and the IMF Mission Chief for Macedonia Jasmin Rahman.
Talks will be focused on the current and future cooperation of Macedonia with both institutions.
IMF and WB hold their Annual Meetings every year. Event was attended by Ministers of Finance and Governors of the Central Banks of the Member States. Discussion is related to the recent developments in the global economy and topics such as poverty reduction and stimulation of economic growth.
