Skopje, 9th December 2014 (MIA) – Karpos will have its infrastructure improved with EUR 800 thousand. Funds were provided from the World Bank under the Municipal Services Improvement Project, realized by the Ministry of Finance. Agreement for using these funds was signed today by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski and the Mayor of Karpos Municiplity Stevce Jakimovski.
Agreement will provide for construction of atmospheric sewage of seven streets in Vlae 1 and “Vlado Tasesvki” Street and reconstruction of two streets in Taftalige 1 and “Peco Bozinovski- Koco” Street.
– Signing of today’s Agreement is significant support for Karpos Municipality, and 3.500 inhabitants from these inhabited areas will benefit from the realization of the projects, Stavreski said.
According to him, significant infrastructure projects are being realized under this Project and, so far, around 34 municipalities have been financed, in the amount of EUR 26 mullion and that there is ongoing preparation of projects in 20 municipalities in the amount of EUR 21 million.
Funds as Minister said, have been extended under exceptionally favorable conditions, 0.6% interest rate, 13-year repayment period and 3-year grace period.
Mayor of Karpos Municipality Stevco Jakimovski said that the obtained funds would serve for constructing atmospheric sewage on Streets “Ankarska”, “Vlae”, “Bagdadska”, “Alzirska”, “Borka Talevski”, “Franc Presern” and the branches of Streets “Franc Presern” and “Koruska”. New pavements on “Praska” and “Struska” Streets will be built and the asphalt layers of these streets built in the 80s, will be changed.
These funds, as he mentioned, will improve the underground infrastructure. As he stressed, the work in favour of the citizens, will continue.
