Skopje, 4th March 2013 (MIA) – Government started payment of initial pecuniary assistance to families in the flooded areas. Since this morning, funds are transferred to transaction account of the oldest member in the family.

This was announced by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, answering to journalists’ questions at today’s press conference at VMRO-DPMNE Headquarters.

Government decided to help 650 families in the flooded areas by awarding them initial pecuniary assistance in the amount of Denar 15,500.

Minister Stavreski pointed out that at the moment damages were determined from the floods and that, in addition to the pecuniary assistance, the affected families would also be helped with household furniture.
