Skopje, 28th January 2014 (MIA) – Industrial production grew by 3.2% in the course of last year, while it surged by 9.5% in December 2013 compared to December 2012, State Statistics Office announced.

Analyzed by sectors, industrial production in the mining and quarrying sector dropped by 4.2%, it grew by 13.1% in the processing industry, and it surged by 1.9% in the electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply sector.

According to the main industrial groups, production in December 2013, compared to December 2012, experienced an increase at the intermediary goods, except energy – 4.8%, capital goods – 43.8%, consumer durables – 4.3% and consumer non-durables – 14.2%, while drop was recorded at the energy – 7.1%.
