30th January 2018, Skopje – Minister of Finance, Dragan Tevdovski Ph.D., together with his advisers, held a meeting today with a delegation from the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy, led by Marco Acquaticci, Deputy Head of Mission, accompanied by Patrick Martens, Delegate of the German Chamber of Commerce in Macedonia, Helge Tolksdorf, Director of EU Enlargement Department, Southeast Europe and Turkey, Anja Meyer from the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and Anja Quiring, Regional Director for Southeastern Europe, the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations.
Digital Summit, to be held in the Republic of Macedonia, was discussed at the meeting, and the Ministry of Finance would provide its full support for its realization. Macedonia has been selected as a country to host the first Digital Summit, being one of the most important segments of the Berlin Process aimed at strengthened regional cooperation among the Western Balkan countries to join the EU.
Both parties pointed out friendly relations between the countries, whereby expanding the bilateral and the economic cooperation were also discussed, in particular in the field of trade and investments.
Ministry of Finance team also underlined the huge importance of the German companies for the Macedonian economy.
They both underlined their strive for intensifying the cooperation at many level in the future.
