Skopje, 13th September 2016 (MIA) – Aerodrom Municipality published a tender for construction of sports’ tennis center, to include at least eight tennis courts.

As the Mayor of Aerodrom Municipality, Ivica Koneski, stated at the press conference, the tennis center will be built on the basis of public private partnership, while the investor should, in addition to the tennis courts, also build compatible amenities.

– We are optimistic that companies, to realize this project through public private partnership, will apply at the tender. This sports’ tennis center will be built in the vicinity of “Jane Sandanski” Sports’ Center, at the quay of the Vardar River, and will meet all international standards for organizing international tournaments, Koneski said.

Minister of Finance, Kiril Minoski, pointed out that the Ministry and the Macedonian Government support all capital investments which, as he said, are aimed at encouraging the practicing of sport and raising new generations of athletes. Minoski said that funds in this year’s budget, intended for capital investments, are higher by Denar 400 million.

Tennis courts, together with the compatible amenities, should be built in 36 months at the latest.
