Skopje, 10th October 2014 (MIA) – Macedonian delegation, comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, and Governor of the National Bank of Macedonia, Dimitar Bogov, take part in the IMF and WB Annual Meetings held in Washington, starting today.
Skopje, 10th October 2014 (MIA) – Macedonian delegation, comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, and Governor of the National Bank of Macedonia, Dimitar Bogov, take part in the IMF and WB Annual Meetings held in Washington, starting today.
As Ministry of Finance announced, it is envisaged for Deputy Prime Minister Stavreski to meet high officials from the World Bank, the IMF and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Stavrerski will hold meetings with the World Bank Executive Director, Frank Heemskerk, the Vice President Laura Tuck and the Country Director for Southeast Europe, Europe and Central Asia, Ellen Goldstein. Deputy Prime Minister will also meet IMF Executive Director Menno Snel, Deputy Director, European Department, Philip Gerson, and IMF Mission Chief for Macedonia, Ivanna Vladkova Hollar.
During the Annual Meetings, Deputy Prime Minister Stavreski will also hold meetings with EBRD high officials, such as Jean-Mark Peterschmitt, Managing Director, Central and South Eastern Europe, to discuss the key projects in the road and the rail infrastructure and the gasification, supported by the Bank.
Each autumn, IMF and WB hold their Annual Meetings. Ministers of Finance and Governors of Central Banks of the member states participate at the Annual meetings, discussing the recent developments in the world economy.
