Bitola, 1st February 2012 (MIA) During the first days of the realization the “Buy a House, Buy a Flat” Project, citizens showed great interest and, in time, number of interested citizenswill increase.
This was said by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, who, accompanied by Bitola Mayor, Vladimir Taleski, attended the official opening of the info-caravan “Buy a House, Buy a Flat” on Sirok Sokak in Bitola on Wednesday.
– We expect that as this project develops, the citizens will be more interested in obtaining applications and submitting them for subsidized housing loan.Banks claim that the project is suitable for both them and the citizens and the project is exactly what the citizens need so as to obtain support from the state when they need it the most, thus we start resolving the most burning issue in the Republic of Macedonia, that being obtaining own home, Stavreski underlined.
Citizens can apply for subsidized housing loan by 1st March this year under the “Buy a House, Buy a Flat” Project of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
Citizens in Bitola, Stavreski pointed out, should be informed on the possibilities offered by the “Buy a House, Buy a Flat” Project.- Discussions we had with the representatives from the commercial banks in Bitola show that it is obvious that there is huge interest as in the other cities in Macedonia.Citizens are interested in houses, flats and house extensions, for which funds are envisaged to be used under this project, Vice Prime Minister Stavreski pointed out.
At the meeting with Bitola Mayor, he expressed his contentment with the offered locations for construction of flats, as well as houses, in Bitola.
– At national level, we have provided budget funds for construction of around 2,000 to 2,500 flats or houses, i.e. housing loans, while how many funds and which city they will be used in will depend on the approved applications by the commercial banks. However, thanks to the offer of Bitola Municipality, we expect for significant portion of such applications to be realized in this city, Stavreski underlined.
Bitola Municipality is prepared for investments and construction of flats and houses on the location of the former “Stiv Naumov” barracks. So far, 19 building plots have been sold for individual housing, and new building plots will be offered for sale soon.Mayor Taleski also confirmed that nine building plots were sold on the barracks location for construction of high buildings with around 300 flats, and sale of additional eight building plots with identical capacity will be announced, continuing the support under the government project “Buy a House, Buy a Flat”.
