Skopje, 12th December 2012 (MIA) – Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, said that Russian Government is in the final stage of discussions about the Agreement on joining of Macedonia to the “South Stream” gas pipeline and he expects the final response by the end of January.

– Russian Government is in the final stage of discussing the Agreement and we expect their response by the end of January next year that the Agreement is acceptable and to sign it. This will provide for implementation of other activities, such as establishment of a joint company, construction of the gas pipeline branch towards Macedonia, ….. Stavreski said, when asked by the journalists during the break at the Conference for the launch of the “Training of Internal Auditors in Public Sector” Project (TIAPS).

In Anapa, Russia, he underlined, Republic of Macedonia was invited and attended the launch of the construction of “South Stream”, when we again discussed with Gazprom and the Ministries’ representatives about the inter-state agreement between the Republic of Macedonia and the Russian Federation.
