Industrial production increase by 8.3% in July, according to Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski is good sign that both industry and Macedonian economy recover and that the exit from the crisis is more and more certain.

&nbsp

– The fact that the industrial production increases as a whole is also a good signal, i.e. many industrial branches experienced growth, including textile and metal industry by around 20 percents, contributing for processing industry to increase by 5.3 percents in total for the first time this year, Stavreski said in the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia.

&nbsp

He pointed out that positive trends in the industry can be expected to continue in the next months as well.

&nbsp

– Our expectations are that the third quarter will be better than the second one, and as 2010 passes, the performance will be better and better. We expect for this performance to contribute for the projected growth of 2 percents to be realized this year, although it does not depend only on the developments in the Republic of Macedonia, but also on the external demand showing certain positive signs as regards the growth of German economy, being driving force of the growth in the Eurozone, Stavreski said.

&nbsp

According to him, textile industry has registered growth for the first time, mostly due to the increased orders for Macedonian companies, cooperating with companies from Germany and Greece.

&nbsp

– However, until we see that production continuously increases several months in a row, decisions whether risks to the textile industry are completely surmounted cannot be still reached, Stavreski said.

&nbsp

As for the utilization of the IMF funds, Stavreski pointed out the opposition most probably does not sufficiently understand the model of their usage, clarifying that they can be used only for budget needs.

&nbsp

– As previously said, we are going to use them for settling the current expenditures, as well as for capital investments, Stavreski said.
