Skopje, 12th April 2013 (MIA) – Macedonia is one of the countries with stable macroeconomic performance and in future, it will be able to appropriately settle its debt and all other liabilities.

 

This is the IMF estimate, the representatives of which had meetings with Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, Governor Dimitar Bogov and the businessmen in the past ten days.

 

As Stavreski said today, when asked before the start of marking the 21st anniversary of Customs Administration, in line with the so-far discussions with IMF, there are no any surprises and problems.

 

– Conclusions are that Macedonia is one of the countries, having stable macroeconomic performance and as such, in future, it will be able to appropriately settle its debt and all other liabilities, Minister said, adding that he is satisfied with the so-far progress of the mission.

 

On Tuesday, final meeting is scheduled, after which press conference will be held, during which IMF Mission Chief will present his assessments.

 

Current IMF mission is one of the regular ones for assessment of the macroeconomic policies and sustainability of the debt level of Macedonia.
