Skopje, 20th February 2013 (MIA) – Repayment of the state liabilities towards the business sector on the basis of VAT refund and the payment on the basis of contracted works proceeds well and the state will manage to reduce them to zero by the end of this month, i.e. within the determined deadline.
This was pointed out by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, when asked following the commissioning of the wastewater pumping station in Skopje settlement of Dracevo.
– Repayment of liabilities towards the business sector proceeds well. It is reduced below EUR 10 million, meaning that we paid above EUR 82 million to the business sector in the last five months. The companies feel the effects therefrom. Liquidity has been improved and I believe we will completely adhere to the deadline, being the end of the month, Stavreski said.
Government measure started in September last year, for the purpose of improving the liquidity of companies. In the middle of September, when the repayment started, the liabilities on the basis of VAT refund and the payment on the basis of contracted works amounted to EUR 92 million.
