Today, Ministry of Finance paid Denar 75.3 million as subsidies to 2,716 farmers on several bases.

Denar 39.5 million was paid for additional support for gardening crops handed over in processing facilities to 1,395 gardeners. Amount of the support is Denar 2 per kilogram for handed over peppers and pickled cucumbers and Denar 1.5 for all other gardening crops such as tomato, broccoli, peas, leek, carrot, celery, parsnip and aubergine.

Denar 27.2 million was paid for additional support for fruit crops handed over in processing facilities to 1,020 fruit-growers. The amount of the support is Denar two per kilogram.

Additional support was paid to farmers growing pears, sour cherries, apples, peaches, apricots, cherries, quinces, medlars, plums, pomegranates, figs, aronia, blueberries, gooseberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and other types of fruit throughout the territory of the Republic of Macedonia.

Today, subsidies were paid for ear-tagged heads of goats, whereby 301 goat keepers obtained total of Denar 8.6 million. Financial support for breeding goats amounts to Denar 1.000 per head.

Government, by regularly paying subsidies to farmers, remains committed to supporting the agriculture, which is one of the driving branches of Macedonian economy.
