17th May 2019, Brussels – Today, Minister of Finance, Dragan Tevdovski, and Governor of the National Bank, Anita Angelovska – Bezhoska, take part in the Economic and Financial Dialogue between the EU and the Western Balkans and Turkey, being held at the Council of the European Union in Brussels.
Economic and Financial Dialogue is held each year, aimed at assessing the Economic Reform Program of the EU candidate countries. It is the final meeting on the annual assessment of macroeconomic policies and structural priorities in the past year. Representatives from EU Member States, the European Commission and the European Central Bank, on one hand, and ministers and governors from the Wester Balkan countries and Turkey, on the other, take part in the meeting.
Discussion will be held within the Dialogue, in particular on structural reforms the EU candidate countries implement, all to the end of attracting more foreign direct investments and strengthening the economies. Minister of Finance Tevdovski will have his address at this discussion.
On the margins of this event, Tevdovski will have several meetings with his European peers aimed at strengthening the cooperation.
