9 May 2018, Split – Minister of Finance Tevdovski met Dutch FM Hoekstra during the WB-IMF Constituency Meetings currently underway in Split. WB ED Frank Heemskerk also attended the meeting. 

During the meeting, Minister Tevdovski thanked his Dutch counterpart about the support the Netherlands provide to Macedonia in the area of public finance. Minister Tevdovski also informed about the ambitious Public Finance Reform strategy approved and being implemented by the Government. In particular, the two ministers spoke about the importance of transparency of public finances, with Minister Tevdovski noting that increasing transparency is one of the top priorities of the new Macedonian Government. 

During the meeting, there were also discussions about the Cooperation Memorandum 2017-2019 signed between the two ministries in August 2017, which also foresees bilateral cooperation through exchange of experiences, trainings and consultations regarding public finances. In the context of the intensification of cooperation, Minister Tevdovski also invited Minister Hoekstra to visit Macedonia in the future.
