On Tuesday, World Bank approved US$ 30 million development loan to the Government of the Republic of Macedonia as budget support for economic reforms and development policies.
 
These funds are allocated as support for the reforms aimed at strengthening social protection system and health reforms, strengthening financial sector stability and improving execution of public expenditures. World Bank Board of Execute Directors commended the implementation of the activities related to PDPL arrangement, welcoming the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia to maintain macroeconomic stability and implement reform policies.
 
Next year, approval of new tranche under PDPL arrangement for implementing development policies is expected. In addition, Dutch grant in the amount of EUR 7 million was approved as support to the already commenced reforms. This support is clear signal and confirmation for the continuous implementation of the reforms by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.
