29th November 2022, Skopje – In October 2022, Ministry of Finance recorded, by applying the energy conservation measures, lower consumption by 44%, compared to the energy consumption during the same month in 2021.
Savings result from applying the measures, not only in MoF’s main building, but also in 34 regional units and 17 treasury offices throughout the country.
Data demonstrate that 100,000 kWh less was spent in the course of October 2022. Application of these measures provided for 32% energy savings in the course of September 2022.
Ministry of Finance and its staff will continue to apply the introduced measures in the upcoming period as well, thus providing for rational use of the resources amid smooth running of the overall work process.
Measures the Ministry of Finance undertakes are part of the set adopted by the Government, all to the end of reducing the energy consumption in the government and public institutions, thus ensuring security and safety as regards the electricity supply during the winter. Set of measures also contain recommendations, urging the population and the companies to save energy.
