25th May 2023, Skopje – On 25th May and 26th May, Minister of Finance, Fatmir Besimi will attend the IMF and WB Group Constituency, taking place in the coastal town Tivat in Montenegro.
Within the Constituency Meeting, Minister will take part at the panel discussion, covering the topic “Striving For Economic Stability/Fiscal Consolidation and Monetary Policy Tightening – What is the Optimal Policy Mix?”, “This topic will be discussed by the Governors of the Central Banks of Moldova, Armenia and Romania debated, with the President of the Dutch Central Bank, Klaas Kniot, and the Director of the European Department at the IMF, Alfred Kammer.
At the Margins of the Constituency Meeting in Tivat, Minister Besimi had bilateral meetings with the WB Vice President Antonella Bassani, the IFC’s Vice President for Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Alfonso Garcia Mora and the European Department at the IMF, Alfred Kammer.
Meeting will be attended by IMF and WB Group top officials, as well as Governors of Central Banks, among which Governor Anita Angelovska Bezhoska and Ministers of Finance of Member Countries.
Republic of North Macedonia as a World Bank Member Country is part of the Dutch Constituency, with the Minister of Finance representing the country in the World Bank’s Board of Governors.
