“There are several possibilities for this international corporation to expand its operations in supporting the implementation of our plan for decarbonization and green transition. IFC has expressed interest in financing projects in the field of energy and renewables, such as solar energy, as well as decarbonization-related projects”, Minister Besimi said.

He also said that an investment plan is expected to be developed together with the IFC for the purpose of implementing the projects in the respective sector, extending US$ 85 million support under the Climate Investment Funds – CIF Programs.

As discussed during the meeting, IFC is likely to expand its operations in supporting both the private sector, with such support also being valued by the Macedonian companies, and the process of attracting new foreign investments.
