“The topics to be discussed with the International Financial Institutions’ representatives and investors will pertain to the economic developments. It is vital for regular meetings to be held, especially as we are anticipating the upcoming Eurobond issuance of at least EUR 700 million at the onset of 2026, considering the maturity date of the previously issued Eurobond in the amount of EUR 700 million. Such steady communication with the IFIs is also crucial since it also demonstrates our hard work, which impacts the interest rate amount”, the Minister said in an interview for MRTV broadcasting.
She added that the projected 3.7% economic growth will not be revised, based on the actions we take, which will also be presented at the meetings with the IMF and WB representatives. With respect to the inflation, Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska mentioned that measures have also been undertaken, and stabilization is anticipated in the medium term.
She added that the World Bank’ support is anticipated with regards to implementing digitalization processes in the Ministry of Finance and the Public Revenue Office, in addition to the US Treasury’s support by providing expertise for the sake of accelerated implementation of the respective processes.

In response to the question regarding payment of wages to the employees in the cultural sector, she stated that the issue will be addressed once wage calculations are performed in accordance with the law.
“Since day one I have insisted that calculations be done in accordance with the general and separate collective agreements, and once the wages are calculated, they will be paid as per the law. The Budget ensures the payment of wages for 90,000 people, and thus far, no issues have been encountered. The same laws apply also to the employees in the sector of culture, and they must be observed”, the Minister said, adding that the issue of wage payment of the inspectorates was due to non-compliance with the specific laws.
