We would like to thank you for participating in the public consultation for draft Economic Reform Program 2017 (ERP 2017) held in the period from 27thDecember 2016 to 10thJanuary 2017, as well as for attending the consultation meeting which took place on 4thJanuary 2017.
Having in mind the significance of the document and the need for it to be prepared with high quality, we would like to express gratitude to the representatives of the business community, the universities, the local authorities, the social partners, the civil society and all other stakeholders for their contribution to document preparation process.
By preparing the ERP on regular basis, Government of the Republic of Macedonia has joined the EC approach for supporting growth and competitiveness through economic governance, as a key pillar in the accession process, in order to provide better reporting on the national economic policy plans, including the needs for structural reforms.
ERP 2017 is prepared on the basis of the already established national consultation process, centrally coordinated by the Ministry of Finance. The document is prepared in line with the instructions in the Guidance for Economic Reform Programmes, issued by EC in May 2016. OECD expert assistance was used during ERP 2017 preparation.
