Strumica, 1st February 2014 (MIA) – Construction of new system for faecal sewerage and reconstruction of the main street in Piperevo Village in Strumica region was commenced on Saturday. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski, and Mayor of Vasilevo Municipality, Vane Stojanov, attended the cornerstone laying ceremony.
Greeting those present, Deputy Prime Minister Stavreski pointed out that commencement of the realization of the two infrastructure projects confirmed, once again, that what was promised was being fulfilled.
– Realization of two important projects for the citizens of Piperevo is commenced today. Total investment for these two infrastructure projects amounts to around EUR 450,000, most of which is provided by the Government through the Rural Development Program, and part of the funds is provided by the municipality itself. By joining efforts, we are realizing projects which are significant for improvement of the life of the citizens. This was an election promise and, as always, we strife for fulfilling what is determined in the Program, all to the end of improving the life of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, Stavreski said.
Mayor Stojanov underlined the cooperation with the Government, the assistance of which provides for realization of capital infrastructure projects, thus contributing to continuous improvement of the life of the citizens in the rural municipalities.
– Although, according to out Program, these two projects were envisaged to be realized in 2016, together with the competent Ministries, we have managed to provide funds under the Rural Development Program and to realize the two projects this year, Stojanov said.
