Governemnt delegation for economic issues, headed by Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Zoran Stavreski, also including the Minister for Attracting Foreign Investments, Vele Samak, and CEO of the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones, Viktor Mizo, held a business forum in the Republic of Tatarstan today as part of the visit to present investment opportunities in Macedonia to the Russian Federation.
Tatarstan is one of the countries with the strongest economy and the most developed industry in the Russian Federation. The delegation visited Kazan technological industrial zone in Tatarstan today, where it presented the investment opportunities in Macedonia at the business forum.
It was pointed out that Macedonia has excellent conditions which could be offered to the potential investors, such as the lowest tax rates in Europe and advantages offered by our technological industrial zones. Agriculture, IT, car industry and tourism were the areas mentioned in which cooperation could be established.
– Tatarstan is one of most dynamic and, at the same time, most modern economies in the Russian Federation. Its economy, as a fast-growing one, is quite similar to the Macedonian economy, hence we expect for the cooperation to be further developed in the field of trade, as well as in the investment area, Stavreski stated.
Stavreski also met the President of Tatarstan, Rustem Minnikhanov. They discussed about the economic cooperation between Macedonia and this Russian republic, as well as about deepening the trade cooperation.
Within the road show, the delegation will present the investment opportunities in Macedonia to Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, and it will complete its visit at the International Economic Forum to be held in Saint Petersburg.
