Skopje, 28th June 2012 (MIA) – Today, total of 25,793 farmers will obtain Denar 821 million as financial support for produced and sold tobacco, agricultural production, as well as cattle raising, i.e. for produced cow’s, sheep’s and goat’s milk.

As Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Zoran Stavreski announced, the subsidies will be fully paid by next Wednesday, in the coming three to four days.

– This is yet another proof of the commitment of the Government to the agriculture, the support it provides to farmers on continuous basis, as well as confirmation that the agriculture is one of our priority branches. As we promised, today, the payment for produced and sold tobacco from the 2011 harvest started, the legal deadline of which is June 2013, meaning that the funds are paid a year earlier with accelerated dynamics, Stavreski pointed out.

Denar 620.7 million has been already transferred to the accounts of 13,555 farmers, i.e. Denar 60 per kilogram of tobacco. Funds are paid to the points of purchase Sokotab – Bitola, Tutunski kombinat Prilep and Alijans Uan – Kavadarci.

Today, additional Denar 75 million was paid to 4,600 farmers for agricultural production or Denar 8,500 per unit area, being also attached to the payment made last week, and Denar 126.5 million was also paid to 7,637 persons for produced and sold sheep’s, goat’s and cow’s milk or around Denar 3.5 per liter.
